Meet the Cast of the 2022 Heathers the Musical Live Film

With the Roku premiere of the live capture of Heathers: The Musical happening in a little over a week, it's time to get to know the 2022 principal cast that was filmed live at The Other Palace theatre back in May.

Coming exclusively to The Roku Channel on September 16th, the musical will be released in the US and will have a future release in Europe and the rest of the world.

Steam Motion and Sound, who previously filmed major musicals such as WaitressPrince of EgyptAladdin, and Kinky Boots, filmed Heathers the Musical in May 2022 at London's The Other Palace.

Ailsa Davidson as Veronica Sawyer

Having trained at Guildford School of Acting, Ailsa’s theatre credits include playing Sarah in Our House (Union Theatre), Miss Lynch, and understudying Rizzo/Jan in the UK and international tour of Grease. She also appeared in the award-winning production of Lipsync at Edinburgh Fringe.

 

Simon Gordon as J.D

Simon Gordon took over the role of J.D. in March 2022 having previously played the part in the Heathers 2021 tour. Gordon is also a graduate of the Guildford School of Acting. He played Ewan McGregor in Secret Cinema’s immersive production of Moulin Rouge, appeared in the stage production of Girl From the North Country both at the Gielgud Theatre in London), and was an alternate Strat in Bat Out of Hell at London's Dominion Theatre.

 

Maddison Firth as Heather Chandler

After appearing in "Parade the Musical" and "9 to 5: The Musical" both at SLP College, Maddison was a rehearsal wing in the Breakaway Cruise production of Six the Musical appearing as Katherine Howard. She later joined the UK tour of Heathers, and then transferred with several cast members to the homecoming production at The Other Palace.

 

Vivian Panka as Heather Duke

After starring in various musical theatre productions in The Netherlands, Vivian made her UK professional acting debut at 9 to 5 the Musical at the Savoy Theatre. She later joined Heathers the Musical as Heather Duke.

 

Teleri Hughes as Heather McNamara

After covering Heather Chandler and Heather McNamara, Teleri assumed the full-time role of Heather McNamara in 2021. She was previously covering Eponine in the recent UK tour of Cameron Mackintosh's Les Miserables, Cinderella in the Cardiff New Theatre pantomime production in 2019, and Lise in Spring Awakening in the 2018 production at the Hope Mill Theatre.

 

Vicki Lee Taylor as Ms. Fleming/Veronica’s Mom

Vicki Lee Taylor is an English theatre & television actress who appeared in The Witches of Eastwick UK Tour in 2009 alongside Marti Pellow. In 2013 she played the role of Maggie Winslow in the West End revival of A Chorus Line at the London Palladium, and also appeared as Daisy Gamble at the Union Theatre, London, in On a Clear Day You Can See Forever.

Rory Phelan as Ram Sweeney

Liam Doyle is a British actor, singer, and musical theatre performer. His musical theatre credits include Legally Blonde (UK tour), After You, West Side Story, Ghost The Musical, Altar Boyz, Wicked, Mamma Mia!, Rock & Rock Heaven, Hairspray, and High School Musical 2.

Rory Phelan was trained at the D&B School of Performing Arts, with his theatre credit including being in the ensemble in Club Tropicana (UK tour), Sonny in Grease (UK an International tour), Eddie in Mamma Mia (Novello), Joey and understudied Tony in Saturday Night Fever (UK tour), understudied Charlie in Wag! The Musical (Charing Cross Theatre) and dancer & male understudy in Cinderella (Churchill Theatre, Bromley). Film and television include: Splash, Let’s Dance for Comic Relief, and Beaver Falls (E4 ident).
