Six the Musical to Be Filmed for Release With Original Cast

Get ready Queendom - SIX The Musical will be filmed in London next month for worldwide release!

Here's what we know right now about the upcoming SIX film:

The Original West End cast of SIX will film the show live at the Vaudeville Theatre in London next month following the upcoming Hampton Court Palace performances.

London performances will be suspended from June 27 to July 1 to accommodate filming close-ups and complete runs without an audience, similarly to the recently filmed Heathers the Musical.

Concluding the week-long filming process would be a live filmed performance with a full audience on Friday, July 1st. According to the press release, the film "will combine the best elements of live theatre and cinema".

A limited number of tickets will be available to purchase via a public ballot, which will open at 10am on Friday June 10th.

The SIX film will be directed by Liz Clare (known for MTV Europe Music Awards, An Audience with Adele, and Dua Lipa: Studio 2054).

SIX producers plan to post a link to the ticket ballot on their social channels later this week. Tickets prices will be reduced for this one-off performance and audiences will be given the opportunity to pose for photos on the purple carpet and be part of SIX "herstory"!

The West End cast of SIX that will be part of the filming includes Jarnéia Richard-Noel (Catherine of Aragon), Millie O'Connell (Anne Boleyn), Natalie Paris (Jane Seymour), Alexia McIntosh (Anna of Cleves), Aimie Atkinson (Katherine Howard) and Maiya Quansah-Breed (Catherine Parr).

From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an 80-minute celebration of 21st century Girl power.

Creators of SIX Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss said: "Having our original Oliviers cast captured on film is just such an exciting, mind-blowing prospect. We are so thrilled that we are finally going to be able to share their incredible performances of our show with the whole world! Live captures are SUCH an important part of the world of theatre accessibility today - and we are so very grateful that we get this opportunity to share the SIX queens' story this way."

Six by Tony Marlow and Lucy Moss was nominated for five Olivier Awards including Best New Musical. It was recently nominated for eight Tony Awards including best new musical, best original score, and best direction of a musical.
