Musical Adaptation of Pride and Prejudice Now Available for Free Streaming

A musical adaptation of Jane Austen's beloved novel "Pride and Prejudice" is now available for streaming worldwide for free.

This adaptation, created by Paul Gordon (known for "Daddy Long Legs" and "Emma"), was recorded live during its debut at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley in Palo Alto, California in 2020. It follows the story of the Bennet family, living in 19th-century England, as they anxiously await suitors for their five daughters.

Elizabeth Bennet (played by Mary Mattison) falls for Mr. Darcy (played by Justin Mortelliti), despite his desire for a woman of lower social standing. The musical premiered in December 2019 and was filmed early the following year, produced by Tom Polum (known for "Cyrano The Musical") and Stacia Fernandez ("Mamma Mia!").
