Encore Presentation of Anything Goes With Sutton Foster Returns to PBS May 26

Originally premiering in May 2022 on PBS, Broadway star Sutton Foster reprises her Tony Award-winning performance as Reno Sweeney and makes her West End debut in P.G. Wodehouse and Cole Porter’s golden age musical Anything Goes, returning to PBS stations May 26.

The musical is part of 2023’s “Broadway’s Best” lineup which also includes Celebrating 50 Years of Broadway’s Best and Richard III.

Anything Goes fans can also own the live capture on DVD & Blu-Ray, released earlier this year through Liberator Films. We reviewed the Blu-Ray release last month.

Telling the tale of romance aboard the SS American set to a timeless score, Tony-winning choreographer Kathleen Marshall directs the London production featuring timeless hits, including “I Get A Kick Out of You,” “You’re the Top” and “Anything Goes.” The London revival also stars three-time Olivier Award and Tony Award winner Robert Lindsay, Felicity Kendal and Gary Wilmot.

US viewers will be able to tune in to their local PBS station tonight to watch Anything Goes through Great Performances at 9PM ET. The musical will also be available to stream through the Great Performances website following the encore broadcast.

UK fans will continue to be able to stream the production through BBC's iPlayer here. The BBC stream is expected to be available on the streaming platform until the end of the year.

Producer Howard Panter of Trafalgar Entertainment remounted the production following the hugely successful London revival of Lincoln Center's The King and I with Kelli O'Hara back in 2018.

The filmed performance of Anything Goes is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall and directed for the screen by Ross MacGibbon. Marc Allenby, Alice De Rosa, Austin Shaw, Sir Howard Panter, Dame Rosemary Squire, and David Lazar are producers; Joshua Andrews and Stuart Galbraith are executive producers.
