WATCH: Celebrating Broadway's Best Concert Streams Free May 12

Great Performances, the acclaimed performing arts series on PBS, is celebrating its 50th anniversary season with a star-studded musical revue titled "Celebrating 50 Years of Broadway's Best", coming May 12 to online streaming.

The program will feature a range of songs by legendary Broadway composers such as Stephen Schwartz, Kander & Ebb, Fats Waller, Stephen Sondheim, Duke Ellington, and Andrew Lloyd Webber, among others.

Hosted by Sutton Foster, a two-time Tony winner, the revue will be directed and choreographed by Tony winner Warren Carlyle, with Patrick Vaccariallo serving as music director.

The show will highlight milestone Broadway productions from 1973 to 2023, offering a glimpse into the evolution of contemporary Broadway.

The program will feature a range of performances, including a tap number from Jelly’s Last Jam performed by Corbin Bleu, a tribute to “A Chorus Line” featuring Tony-winning original cast member Donna McKechnie joined by Robyn Hurder, and the original “Wiz” André De Shields performing “So You Wanted To See The Wizard.” Sara Bareilles will perform "She Used to Be Mine," while Chita Rivera will sing her signature song "All That Jazz" from Chicago.

The show was filmed live in March at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater, and the recording will premiere on May 12 at 9 PM ET. The program will be streaming online through the Great Performances website shortly following the broadcast.

In addition to the performances mentioned above, the program will feature appearances by a range of Broadway stars, including Shoshana Bean, Raúl Esparza, James Monroe Iglehart, Ledisi, Norm Lewis, Rob McClure, Patina Miller, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Jessie Mueller, Mamie Parris, Solea Pfeiffer, Britton Smith, Jessica Vosk, and Vanessa Williams.
