Full Listings Revealed for Heathers the Musical Cinema Release

As we exclusively revealed last week, the live capture of Heathers: The Musical will be coming to cinemas across the UK & Ireland on March 28th.

Today, Kaleidoscope Film Distribution officially announced all 123 cinemas expected to screen the film in the UK.

The cinema premiere will mark the first time Heathers will be seen in the UK since its release last year. The musical is available to stream in the US and Canada through the free ad-supported Roku Channel but is unavailable in all other regions.

The London production was filmed in May 2022 with Ailsa Davidson as Veronica Sawyer. Simon Gordon and Maddison Firth also joined the cast following the successful Heathers UK tour.

Kaleidoscope Film Distribution officially announced this week that Heathers will be released in the UK and Ireland as a one-night-only event on March 28th, 2023.

Screenings are now on sale through Empire CinemasPicture HouseThe Light, and other independent venues. Full listings for Heathers, which include a total of 123 screens around the UK and Ireland, can now be found via the film's official website, here.

The musical was captured live in association with STEAM Motion & Sound, which is known for its other filmed productions (NewsiesThe Phantom of the OperaKinky Boots, and many more).

 


 

A physical release of the Heathers film could also be a possibility thanks to Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment, a subsidiary of Kaleidoscope Film Distribution which handles the UK distribution of the live capture.

Wickedly funny and with dazzling book, music and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe, Heathers The Musical is based on the 1988 cult hit, that starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, and produced by Bill Kenwright and Paul Taylor-Mills, the team behind the acclaimed stage adaptation of Carrie.
