West End Six to Be Filmed This Week - Here’s What to Expect

The countdown is over: Cameras have been set up at the Vaudeville Theatre where SIX The Musical will be filmed live this week for an upcoming global release.

Here's what's happening this week at SIX the Musical:

As previously announced, the original West End cast of SIX will be captured live this week at the Vaudeville Theatre in London following the sold-out Hampton Court Palace performances earlier this month.

London performances will be suspended starting today to accommodate filming close-ups and complete runs without an audience, similarly to the recently filmed Heathers the Musical.

Concluding the week-long filming process would be a live filmed performance on Friday, July 1st with an invited audience. Ballot winners received the opportunity to be part of the special live filming and will also have the chance to pose for photos and enjoy a special purple carpet.

The SIX film will be directed by Liz Clare (known for MTV's European Music Awards, An Audience with Adele, and Dua Lipa: Studio 2054).

Filmed on Stage will be reporting live from the filming days - stay tuned!

The West End cast of SIX that will be part of the filming includes Jarnéia Richard-Noel (Catherine of Aragon), Millie O'Connell (Anne Boleyn), Natalie Paris (Jane Seymour), Alexia McIntosh (Anna of Cleves), Aimie Atkinson (Katherine Howard) and Maiya Quansah-Breed (Catherine Parr).

Creators of SIX Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss said in a statement: "Having our original Oliviers cast captured on film is just such an exciting, mind-blowing prospect. We are so thrilled that we are finally going to be able to share their incredible performances of our show with the whole world! Live captures are SUCH an important part of the world of theatre accessibility today - and we are so very grateful that we get this opportunity to share the SIX queens' story this way."

Six by Tony Marlow and Lucy Moss was nominated for five Olivier Awards including Best New Musical. It recently won two Tony Awards: Best Original Score and Best Costume Design.
