Anything Goes Revival With Sutton Foster Streams Free This Month
Just in time for the new year, the acclaimed London revival of Anything Goes starring Sutton Foster is now streaming for free both in the US and UK for a strictly limited time. The filmed production is a terrific record of the 2021 London revival - a remounting of the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival from 2011. Released to cinemas during the holiday season of 2021, Anything Goes also stars three-time Olivier Award and Tony Award winner Robert Lindsay, as well as Felicity Kendal, and Gary Wilmot. The show was filmed live at the Barbican Theatre during its first sold-out limited engagement. Here's how to stream Anything Goes for free now, in most parts of the world: Reuniting Broadway star Sutton Foster and director-choreographer Kathleen Marshall, the London production was a near replica of the 2011 Broadway revival of the show with minor modifications (the new costume design being the most notable change). PBS' Great Performances is now streaming Anything Goes for free until January 31st, 2023. A direct link to the stream has been added to our growing list of free musicals and plays. Viewers in the UK can still stream the production through BBC's iPlayer here. Producer Howard Panter of Trafalgar Entertainment remounted the production following the hugely successful London revival of Lincoln Center's The King and I with Kelli O'Hara in 2018. Similarly to Anything Goes, The King and I was filmed towards the end of its run at the London Palladium and is now available to stream through various online distributors. It was recently announced that this production of Anything Goes will also be available on DVD and Blu-Ray soon through Liberator Films. When the ship sets out to sea, etiquette and convention dive overboard as two unlikely pairs set off on the course to true love, proving that sometimes destiny needs a little help from a crew of singing sailors, disguise, and some old-fashioned blackmail. The creative team for the London revival includes set designer Derek McLane, costume designer Jon Morrell, music director and supervisor Stephen Ridley, lighting designer Hugh Vanstone, sound designer Jonathan Deans, and orchestrator Michael Gibson (with additions by Bill Elliott), and wig designer Campbell Young. Dance arrangements are by David Chase, vocal arrangements by Rob Fisher, associate direction by Ian Waller, associate choreography by Carol Lee Meadows, associate set design by Ben Davies, associate costume design by Jan Bench, casting by Serena Hill, associate musical direction by Mark Aspinall, associate production management by Tom McEvilly and props supervision by Mary Halliday and Lisa Buckley.
