In the wake of the global pandemic, the documentary "The Show Must Go On" chronicles "the race against time to save live theater during the early months of 2020". The documentary focuses on the teams behind the two world tours of Cats and The Phantom of the Opera, determined to keep their shows going in the difficult early months of 2020.

"The Show Must Go On" will be streaming for 24 hours starting today, September 30th through BOD's live platform. A direct link to the stream has been added to our list of free streaming musicals and plays.

From the frontlines in Seoul, The Show Must Go On follows a company of artists involved in two musical tours--the World Tour of The Phantom of The Opera and the South Korean Tour of Cats. Both of these productions managed to push ahead safely during the pandemic months and helped show the way forward to the whole industry.

The film also looks at Andrew Lloyd Webber, who is a continent away using the example set by his Korean associates to fight for theater's future on the West End and beyond.

The film chronicles the survival of the theater industry and the worldwide resuscitation of an artform in an extremely difficult time for the world. It looks at the human story of the resilience of storytellers and their determination to heal, create, and inspire.
