Work Done on First Cut of Heathers the Musical Film

Steam Motion & Sound (Waitress: The Broadway Musical, Kinky Boots, Aladdin) has finished work on the first cut of the highly anticipated Heathers: The Musical film, with producer Paul Taylor Mills sharing his reaction on social media.

Here's what we now know about the upcoming digital capture of Heathers:

It's been nearly two months since the Heathers filming took place at The Other Palace in London's West End - and it looks like the production company is ready with the first cut of the pro-shot.

While this is still not a clear indication the film will be released in 2022, it could hint the finished product is ready to be shopped around for potential distributors. Shows are typically released within 12 months of filming with notable exceptions being Hamilton (Filmed in 2016, Released in 2020) and Shrek the Musical (Filmed in 2009, Released in 2013).

Producer Paul Taylor Mills shared his feelings after watching the first cut of the Heathers film on social media: "Today I watched the first cut of the Heathers film.... I cried approximately 17279 times".

Mills added that director Andy Fickman is "otherworldly" and that "the world isn't ready for what he's done". Well... you definitely got us excited Paul!
