West End's The Prince of Egypt Filmed for Release

The hit West End musical The Prince of Egypt is being filmed this week for a future international release!

Here's all we know about the filming of the Stephen Schwartz musical:

The show, which opened in February 2020 at the Dominion Theatre, will be filmed both during reguraly scheduled performances and without an audience during the day. Filming rehearsals have already started on Monday along with close up shots that will be taken without an audience present. More filming sessions are expected throughout the week towards a release in 2022.

This is not the first time Dreamworks Theatricals film their stage productions - their previous Broadway production of Shrek the Musical was filmed back in 2009 and released several years later on DVD and Blu-Ray when the show ended all touring engagements.
