This production is part of the "Direct from Broadway" series by Broadway Worldwide, which has captured several other notable Broadway shows like "Memphis," "Putting it Together," and "Smokey Joe's Cafe."

The filmed version of "Jekyll & Hyde" features the closing cast of the musical, including David Hasselhoff in his Broadway debut, portraying both Dr. Henry Jekyll and Mr. Edward Hyde. The rest of the cast includes Coleen Sexton as Lucy Harris, Andrea Rivette as Emma Carew, George Merritt as Mr. John Utterson, and Barrie Ingham as Sir Danvers Carew.

Adapted from Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale, the musical brings a fresh perspective to the epic battle between good and evil. It features the brilliant compositions of Frank Wildhorn and the captivating writing and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse.

The free global streaming of "Jekyll & Hyde" is made possible through the "Broadway at Home" initiative by Broadway on Demand. There is no need for a subscription to access the show, which is now available for viewing worldwide. Additionally, an accompanying program for the stream can be found on Broadway Worldwide's website.

Although the DVD release of the musical by Image Entertainment is currently out of print, fans can still obtain copies from third-party sellers.

A reimagined revival of "Jekyll & Hyde" premiered on Broadway in 2013, featuring Constantine Maroulis and Deborah Cox. However, this production lasted only 30 performances, in stark contrast to the original run, which reached a record-breaking 1500 performances in 1997.
