Puffs: Filmed Live Off Broadway Streams Free Now

Puffs, Or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic, the long-running off-Broadway comedy inspired by Harry Potter, is now available to stream free worldwide through Broadway at Home.

The play is a retelling of the Harry Potter book series from the perspective of the "Puffs", students at a "certain school of magic" who just happened to be there. Puffs played Off-Broadway's New World Stages in 2017 and was a major hit.

Originally premiering at The People's Improv Theater, the show was nominated for the Off-Broadway Alliance Award for "Best Unique Theatrical Experience" and broke box office records multiple times.

For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs... who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.

Producers of Puffs launched a Kickstarter campaign to capture the show for posterity in 2017, with the show eventually being captured in February 2018 and released to cinemas through Fathom Events.

The Off-Broadway production now streams free through Broadway at Home worldwide. The show is available through the Broadway at Home online platform, which can also be streamed through AirPlay and Chromecast.

Puffs is a play by Matt Cox and is not endorsed or sanctioned by Warner Bros. Entertainment, the Harry Potter book publishers, Sonia Friedman Productions, or J.K. Rowling. The show opened in July 2017 and ended a two-year run in August 2019.
