Liza Minnelli: Live at the London Palladium Streams Free Now
Restored and remastered by Shout Factory TV, Liza Minnelli's chilling one-night-only West End performance of "Liza: Live in London" has been released for free streaming. The historic concert was filmed live in March of 1986 at The London Palladium, exactly twenty-two years after Minnelli's first appearance at the prestigious theatre with her mother, Judy Garland, as part of "Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli: Live at the London Palladium". The remastered film is now available to stream freely- here's how to watch it now: The televised 1986 concert features Liza singing her greatest hits, and also includes many Broadway favorites. Originally airing on HBO, the 90-minute program begins with Minnelli singing “New York, New York” as an encore number to her show, then reflecting back to the beginning of the performance. The complete setlist for the performance includes: “Pick Yourself Up,” “Blue Skies," “I’m So Excited," “Old Friends,” “Wherever He Ain’t,” “Sad Songs (Say So Much),” “I Don’t Care Much,” “When the Sun Comes Out,” “I Couldn’t Be Happier (for You),” “London Town,” “I Don’t Want to Know,” “Some People,” and “Here’s to the Band.” For the second act, Minnelli drags a chair on stage to perform “You’ve Let Yourself Go," “He’s Funny That Way," and ’“I Love a Piano,” before finishing with an energetic performance of “New York, New York.” Following a standing ovation, Minnelli is greeted backstage by her sister, Lorna Luft, and returns to sing an encore of “Cabaret" and “The World Goes ‘Round.” Shout Factory has released the full concert for free streaming, with no specific end date.
