Next to Normal is a groundbreaking rock musical by Tom Kitt (music) and Brian Yorkey (book and lyrics) that delves into the complexities of a suburban family grappling with mental illness, grief, and the quest for normalcy. The narrative centers on Diana Goodman, a mother battling bipolar disorder, and the profound impact her condition has on her husband Dan and daughter Natalie.
