The Railway Children (2010)

E. Nesbit's classic book 'The Railway Children' follows Roberta, Phyllis and Peter, three sheltered siblings who suffer a huge upheaval when their father is falsely imprisoned.

The children and their mother are forced out from London to rural Yorkshire, into a cottage near a railway line.

The filmed work is York Theatre Royal's award-winning production of The Railway Children is written by Mike Kenny, directed by Damian Cruden and directed for the screen by Ross MacGibbon (An American in Paris, 42nd Street).

This version was filmed live at the National Railway Museum in the UK, and features the steam train from the much-loved original film.
