Bob Fosse's All That Jazz Film Streams Free This Month

The semi-autobiographical fantasy based on the life and career of Bob Fosse streams free this month thanks to TUBI TV.

Robert Alan Aurthur and Fosse worked together on the screenplay of the film, which follows Fosse's effort to edit his 1974 movie "Lenny" while also directing Broadway's Chicago.

The film was nominated for multiple Academy Awards and won four including Best Original Score and Best Film Editing. It was positively received by critics and holds a score of 72 on metacritic

Here's how to stream Fosse's All That Jazz this month:

When he is not working on his upcoming Broadway musical or feature film, choreographer/director Joe Gideon (Roy Scheider) is using drugs and sleeping around. The huge physical and mental stress begins to take a toll on him until he must choose whether or not his non-stop work schedule and hectic lifestyle are worth risking his life.

The film stars Ann Reinking, Leland Palmer, John Lithgow, Ben Vereen, Nicole Fosse, Keith Gordon, Ben Masters, Wallace Shawn, and Theresa Merritt. The score is made up of both an original one by Ralph Burns, and existing songs that include "Everything Old is New Again," "On Broadway," "There'll Be Some Changes Made" and "Who's Sorry Now?".

All That Jazz is now streaming for free through TUBI TV during all of January - a direct link to the stream has been added to our list of free musicals and plays, which updates regularly with new content.

Variety's original review of the film said: "All That Jazz is a self-important, egomaniacal, wonderfully choreographed, often compelling film which portrays the energetic life, and preoccupation with death, of a director-choreographer who ultimately suffers a heart attack. Roy Scheider gives a superb performance as Gideon, creating a character filled with nervous energy. Running from project to project, the film portrays Gideon completing work on one film while working simultaneously on another project."

More Bob Fosse musicals, such as the Broadway revue "FOSSE" with Ann Reinking and the touring production of Pippin are also available to stream now through our full database.
