Frank Oz directs this movie musical that is based on the Off-Broadway production of the same name. The show played the Orpheum Theatre in New York for five years in the mid 1980's before being made into a Hollywood blockbuster. At a run down flower shop on Skid Row, an exotic plant develops an insatiable appetite for human blood that the nerdy sales clerk dutifully feeds. The film also features special appearances by Jim Belushi, John Candy, Christopher Guest and Bill Murray.
