While initial plans to air the production in previous years on BBC4 fell through, it is expected that following more editing the program will arrive this Christmas to television audiences.

The recording of the West End musical will be broadcast on the Channel 11 on December 29th at 6.30PM.

Half a Sixpence stars Olivier Award nominee Charlie Stemp as ‘Arthur Kipps’, Devon-Elise Johnson as ‘Ann Pornick’, Ian Bartholomew as ‘Chitterlow’ and Emma Williams as ‘Helen Walsingham’.

Based on H.G. Wells’s semi- autobiographical novel ‘Kipps: The Story of a Simple Soul’ the musical features a book by Julian Fellowes with score by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe which features a number of David Heneker’s original songs including "Flash Bang Wallop", "Money To Burn" and "Half A Sixpence".
