West End revival of '42nd Street' to be screened in cinemas early next year?
Having opened in April 2017, the musical which will bow out of the West End on January 5th, 2019 is expected to be filmed for a cinema release supported possibly by other distribution channels. While no official word is out yet, company members have been notified the release is expected for the beggining of 2019. The musical stars Clare Halse as Peggy Sawyer, a young, up-and-coming actress who saves a new Broadway production by stepping in to save the show, and Tom Lister as star producer Julian Marsh.
