West End's The King and I to have worldwide screenings this fall

The Tony winning Lincoln Center Theater revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The King and I the Musical, that is currently playing The London Palladium, was filmed earlier this month for an upcoming release for Movie Theaters.

The production was filmed in London’s West End at The London Palladium (where it continues to run there through September 29th, 2018) starring its original Broadway leads who made the transfer to the UK consisting of Tony and Oscar nominee Ken Watanabe along with its Tony winning stars Kelli O’Hara and Ruthie Ann Miles.

This production of the iconic musical previously played the Vivian Beaumont Theatre on Broadway for 538 performances and is currently on a U.S. national tour.

No word has been official announced on when the filmed performance will be released.
